HGV Licence

If you have an old style paper licence, you may be eligible to drive a truck up to a weight of 7.5 tonnes using a car licence (category B). Check your entitlements on it to see.

The rules have changed since the introduction og photocard licences. If you have passed your car test, you can only drive vehciles up to 3.5 tonnes. To legally drive a vehicle over 3.5 tonnes, you will need a HGV licence.

You can find loads of clear information about HGV licencing in this section.

You can access this using the links to the left.
